The Albemarle Commission, a Regional Planning Organization serving the municipalities and counties of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hyde, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, and Washington in Northeastern North Carolina, is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. An advanced degree in Public Administration, Regional Planning or related degree with a minimum of ten years of service is preferred. The successful candidate should demonstrate a progressive history of organizational management, project management, personnel and financial skill to facilitate multiple competing priorities. The Executive Director reports directly to a 14 member Board of local officials and is responsible for managing a professional staff of 30 with an annual budget of $6 million.
